On 11th December 2024, the school campus buzzed with excitement as Classes 6 to 8 participated
in the much-awaited Spellathon. This month-long event was designed to enhance students’ spelling,
vocabulary, and communication skills, fostering a deeper appreciation for the English language.
The event began with written dictation rounds in the prelims, where entire classes participated
enthusiastically. The top five from each section advanced to the quarter-finals, which tested their
verbal spelling abilities. The competition intensified in the semi-finals as the top three from each
class competed in two challenging rounds of verbal spelling.
The grand finale was a thrilling experience, with the top 10 finalists engaging in three rigorous
rounds: direct word spelling, a rapid-fire round, and a buzzer round requiring contestants to spell
words based on their given meanings.
