Class 10 students were taken on a field trip to Sri Arunodhayam – home for the mentally challenged, on 17/10/23. The visit was completed during school hours. On reaching the place, they were first shown a short film about the history of the home, that was started to provide a safe and secure environment for the intellectually challenged children, who were abandoned by their families. The students were taken around the home, and were apprised of the programme being followed for the children. The inmates are also trained in various skills, which help in making them economically self-reliant. The provision items collected by all the students of class 10 were handed over to the staff. They expressed their gratitude for the same, and we left the place feeling enriched and happy that we could share a few joyous moments with the children there.
