About The Event
AMM School organized an educational trip to Kodaikanal for the class 11 students for the academic year 2024-25 which was a memorable and enriching experience for all. Around six staff and one sub staff accompanied the sixty six students and were the support for them throughout the trip. The trip provided students with a wonderful opportunity to learn beyond the classroom, immersing themselves in the beauty of nature while understanding the ecological importance of the Western Ghats. We visited several key sites, including the Kodaikanal Solar Observatory, where students gained insight into astronomical research and the functioning of telescopes. The experience sparked their curiosity about space and scientific exploration. We also explored the serene Kuruinji Lord Murugan Temple, Kodaikanal Lake Coaker’s Walk, Bryant Park and Moir’s Point where students learned about the region’s unique flora and fauna, while also observing sustainable environmental practices. The breathtaking views combined with hands-on learning made it both enjoyable and educational. The trip was not only about academic learning but also about building stronger friendships and fostering teamwork. Students had a chance to work together, solve challenges, and develop a deeper sense of responsibility and independence.
