The Tamil Nadu Science and Technology Center organized the National Space Day competition for
students of classes 5 to 8 on 9th August 2024. The event aimed to inspire young minds to explore
and express their ideas on space technology and its future, with various competitions tailored to
engage students’ creativity and knowledge. One of the highlights of the event was the Drawing Competition on the topic “Development of India’s Space Technology in 2040.” Dhanyashree, a student of class 5, demonstrated exceptional artistic talent and vision, earning her the Excellence Medal in this category. Another noteworthy participant was Neha Kumaraju, who participated in the Essay Writing
Competition on the topic “National Space Day.” Her thoughtful insights earned her a consolation
prize, recognizing her effort and understanding of the subject. The award ceremony took place on 28th August 2024, where the winners were honored by the Tamil Nadu Minister of Higher Education, Mr. Ponmudi. The competition aimed at the innovation and learning among young students about space
exploration.
