About The Event
On August 7th 2024, 80 students of class VIII, along with 4 teachers and 2 parent volunteers, visited Uthiramerur Temple. The trip commenced at 7:30 AM and focused on the temple’s historic stone inscriptions, which detail the Chola era’s governance and democratic practices. The educational trip provided students with valuable insights into ancient administration and the cultural significance of the inscriptions. The students engaged actively, asking thoughtful questions and deepening their understanding of the site’s historical relevance. The group returned to school by 3:40 PM. The field trip was successful, offering a rich educational experience and enhancing students’ appreciation of India’s cultural heritage.
