As a part of Green initiative, AMM School encourages the tree plantation, energy conservation, no wastage of food and water, reusage of electronic waste, Wealth out of waste by the following ways.
- Environmental awareness has been given to the students in Nature club And Earth Squad.
- The students were initiated in planting trees, the kitchen wastes are collected for the preparation of vermicompost.
- The students were taught about the procedure and process of Vermicompost.
- The students will donate the saplings (month-wise sapling) on their birthdays to make the school environment green and to develop the school garden and with a meaning of giving a new life.
- The bird feeders have been placed in the gardens, checked and fed by the students.
- The middle school students planted the tiny plants in the reusable bottles or tiny pots near the windows
- The students undergo walk to school at the end of the month to create the awareness about carbon traces/ pollution and to encourage the green environment as well as to conserve energy.
- The students were asked to turn off the light in their break time to create an awareness about conservation of energy.
- Water audit is done by the students to check the leakage of water and rectify it at the earliest.
- The primary students were given the tasks of growing plants at their home and inculcated the knowledge about the green environment and its benefits.
- The terrace gardening was done and the students were given the knowledge about the medicinal plants.
- The discussion about the medicinal plants took place in the club.
- The students were asked to prepare seed balls and during the field trip visit they dispersed the seed balls in the various places.
- The kinder garten and primary students were asked to plant a sapling at home.
- The discussion was done on the topics such as- How to prepare vermicompost? Why walk to School concept? Why to place bird feeders? Importance of planting trees.
