First Place at the National Level - Short Film Making Competition Conducted by
ISEA (Ministry of Electronics and IT)

"When an opportunity presents itself, don't be afraid to go after it."

I guess mine came through Sudarsan Sir my computer science teacher, whom am eternally grateful to. One lucky day he made an announcement about a contest conducted by ISEA (Information Security Education and Awareness, unit of Ministry of Electronics and IT).

I competed under the short film category on the topic "Cyber Security ".There were some parameters under which I had to work ; a 5 min duration, not depict any horror and most importantly a completely original work. I just pounced at the opportunity as I am very passionate about film making. It's not a new found passion; I have been making short films since I was 10.

We were under complete lockdown and there was no way I could shoot with a cast. This restricting factor actually turned out to be the strength in my script. I wanted to throw light on the not much discussed aspect of cyber crime; targeting of young boys. Once I locked the script, I took a couple of days for the dialogues and screenplay. The portions of the female lead and the friend's character were shot at their respective residences and mailed to me. Meanwhile all my portions were shot at home. I must say that it was interesting setting up the Restaurant atmosphere.

What I am most happy about the whole process is that I got to showcase all my skills from conceptualizing , forming the screen play, writing the dialogues, acting, directing, dubbing, editing ,mixing, creating the VFX all in just one project. So my friends if you think you have it in you don't hesitate to take the leap.

I would like to thank the Principal, all my teachers, friends and family for all the support and encouragement.
