Reading day

Reading day was observed on 8th February 2017. This reading day stressed the importance of Tamil. Dr. Somasundaram, an educationist was the chief guest of the day. He encouraged the students to read Tamil books and appreciated the efforts to the school in emphasizing Tamil language. Children from class I to class IX arranged themselves in the school ground in the form of the words "நூல் பலா கல்" and "வாழ்க தமிழ்" and read Tamil books and reading cards.

Share, Care, Joy

A Value Education interaction session was held on 22nd February 2017. Students of Little Flower convent, Chennai School (Kottur) and St. Louis School interacted with the students of classes I to IV. They played games, sang songs, did experiments and presented a role play. They interacted and shared their knowledge mutually. Snacks were given to the students. Children had an exposure to differently abled children, their strengths and this helped them understand the value of sharing and caring.

Design Thinking Workshop

Murugappa group conducted a Design Thinking Workshop on 22nd and 23rd of February 2017. Five students from classes IV, V and VI participated in the workshop. The workshop which was held for managers from the Murugappa group had slots for interaction with children. They interviewed the children and asked about their routine and areas of interest. Children were given activities to do. Their suggestions as customers were gathered for designing new cycles. Harini of class IV, Priyanka and Sahana of class V, Rishitha and Pon Selvarasi of class VI participated in the workshop.

Srujana 2017

Srujana 2017 - the Science project day of AMM School was held on 24th and 25th of February 2017. The inaugural function was held on 24th February. Smt. Kamakshi, Advisor of AMM foundation inaugurated the event. The exhibition was conducted as part of National Science day celebration. Students from classes I to IX and XI did projects in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Computer Science. A total of more than 850 projects were on display in both the primary and secondary classes. Selected projects were displayed in the exhibition ground. Teachers and other experts from different fields judged the event. Different schools like Anna gem school, Vidyarathna School, Vidyasagar School, SRM School and T.I. school visited the exhibition and gained knowledge from the displays. Teachers wrote their feedback. KG projects were displayed on 25th February 2017. LKG students did projects on shadows, sun and moon etc. UKG students did projects on term III portions. Parents visited the exhibition and appreciated the students. Movies were also screened for parents. They recorded their feedback.
